Ashton High Rise Relaxed Straight Jeans

The relaxed jean for days you don't want anything tight.

An 11½" rise — genuinely high, higher than most jeans that claim it. It sits at the narrowest part of your waist and stays there, which is the entire reason to bother with a high rise in the first place. No pulling them up, no gap at the back when you sit.

The leg is relaxed rather than wide. It falls straight from the hip with real room through the thigh, down to a 17" opening at the hem — easy, but not billowy. If a wide leg feels like too much fabric and a skinny feels like too little, this is the pair in between.

At 26½" it's an ankle length, which is what makes it work with a flat shoe. Sneakers now, sandals through September, a low boot when it turns. Full-length denim never quite does this.

The blend has enough body to hold its shape all day, so these don't bag out at the knee or go shapeless by evening. Tuck a tee in, leave a button-down loose, add a sandal. Done.

How it's meant to fit: A true high rise at 11 1/2" — it sits at the narrowest part of the waist. Relaxed through the hip and thigh with a straight leg down to a 17" hem. Roomy, but not a wide leg.

On length: The 26 1/2" inseam is an ankle length. On most heights it lands at or just above the ankle bone, which is what makes it work with a flat shoe.
