With Love, By Lindsey — Holiday Traditions, Growing Kids & Finding the Perfect Gift

With Love, By Lindsey — Holiday Traditions, Growing Kids & Finding the Perfect Gift

The holidays have always felt a little magical to me. When the kids were younger, that magic was loud, glittery, chaotic, and absolutely perfect. December meant early-morning wakeups, tiny hands helping with cookies, matching pajamas, and the kind of excitement you could feel buzzing through the whole house. Every tradition felt BIG—picking the tree, decorating the house, baking, and watching their favorite Christmas movies for the hundredth time.

Now that Mia and Nico are older, the holidays feel… different. Not bad. Not less. Just different.

The magic is quieter now—more conversation than chaos, more connection than commotion. They sleep in later, they’re busier with their own lives, and we have to be a little more intentional to carve out moments together. But when we do—when we're all under the same roof, laughing about old memories or baking just because I insist we still have to—those moments feel even more special. There’s a sweetness in seeing who they’re becoming, how our traditions have grown with us, and how the meaning behind them deepens every year.

As a mom, I’ll always miss the messy, glitter-everywhere years… but I also love where we are now. The holidays have become less about the picture-perfect moments and more about simply being together, however that looks.

And maybe that’s the real evolution of tradition—it grows, just like our kids do.

Curating the Perfect Gifts for Women Who Mean the Most – A Boutique Owner’s Heart

This shift in the season has changed the way I approach the boutique during the holidays, too. When you experience how quickly time moves, you shop differently, you give differently, and you think about what really matters.

So when I curate our holiday collection, I’m not just buying clothes and gifts—I’m thinking about the women in your life and mine:

  • The busy moms who never treat themselves

  • The daughters finding their own style

  • The sisters you can’t imagine life without

  • The friends who show up for you in every season

  • The women who deserve to feel seen, appreciated, and beautiful

This year’s holiday edit is full of pieces that feel special without being fussy—cozy sweaters, elevated basics, sparkle for the one who loves to shine, timeless accessories, and thoughtful gifts that make women feel cared for.

I always say I curate with the heart first: “Would I wear this? Would I gift this? Would someone I love feel beautiful in this?” If the answer is yes, it goes on the floor.

Because gifting isn’t about the thing—it’s about the feeling.

When you shop small, when you choose something intentionally, when you wrap a gift knowing exactly who will smile when they open it—that’s the magic. That’s what I want our boutique to give you during this season of giving.

Whether your kids are still little and buzzing with holiday energy, or they’re getting older and your traditions are changing right alongside them, I hope this season brings you moments that feel warm and full—whatever that looks like for your family.

With love,
Lindsey
